Walls are frontiers which decide
what is outside or inside.
Made by hand and brick by brick
the walls are usually not thick.
Under the weather they may crumble
and after years probably tumble.
If you want them to remain
don’t give in to signs of strain.
The China wall, most famous one,
holds its place like next to none.
The Romans tried to imitate
such a stronghold – but too late.
And even later was the wall
from Mexico to U.S. all,
because however high the fence
in modern times it’s no defence.
