The hand outstretched, cry for support,
is not always seen as such.
When you are blind and no good sport
you will not even listen much.
The helping hand needs two good eyes,
and ears to hear the cry.
They must see where the trouble lies
and not first question why.
Spontaneous help needs no reward,
the action is enough.
You help a drowning man on board
when the sea is rough.
