Never just straight

Some trees are known to grow up straight,
and it seems they never stop
to point opposing to their weight
from their roots up to the top.

Most trees or other plants, however,
show influences on their way.
When growing up they often sever
their stems or branches as they may.

The routes of life are never straight,
not for plants, for animals or man.
Too many pending turns in wait
push sideways when they must or can.

Aus meinem Buch:

Inspired by pictures I wrote poems about life in general, nature and man. Some poems are humorous, others serious, because we humans are not always so smart to consider the effects of our lives. Most of the pictures are watercolours by an as yet not much known painter.
