You can experiment with paint,
you can experiment with chemicals,
but life’s experiment will taint
who botches things genetical(s).
The life that has evolved in years
should not be tampered with by chance,
because we don’t know where it steers
once we muddle to enhance.
We think we are as smart as God
to model our own appearance,
and guess we are one lucky sod
not to ask anyone for clearance.
But no, we are not quite so strong,
this experiment can go wrong.
