A good companion is the horse,
its fur is groomed with loving care,
its mane and tail are brushed, of course,
of stallion, foal and also mare.
They usually are patient creatures
and let their owners groom and brush,
for celebrations weave in features,
probably wonder what’s the rush.
Some situations, though, are hairy,
when people don’t show the respect
that for the horse is necessary,
and it suffers from neglect.
Who disregards his friend, the horse,
is not much worth himself, of course.
