Hard rocks build our earth’s firm crust,
but even this can shatter.
Eruptions from within can bust
all layers‘ solid matter.
The power of our planet earth
is vastly underrated.
Vibrations of its outer girth
are as earthquakes stated.
Helpless and small we must admit
that all our knowledge fails,
when our earth explodes in grit
or blows away in gales.
