Not real but really realistic
the stranded whale looks there,
and it appears more futuristic
with room suits people wear.
A space around it for protection
was fenced off on the beach,
so the image was perfection:
scientists, crime scene, carcass each.
Only the hard-born critic thought
the scene just far too proper.
The smell would have all nostrils caught
there would have been no stopper.
