We take the light for granted
without a second thought,
although the first one planted
said: nothing is for nought.
The sun light is a present.
We should enjoy its shine.
Filtering clouds seem pleasant
and rain in due course fine.
To understand the actions
of earth and sun and rain
without profane distractions
should make proceedings plain.
