Today no tiny earthen part
remains unknown by man
because we tried right from the start
to find and map and plan.
Hidden and open treasure made
us use and change the earth.
Only one-sided was the trade,
for nature zero worth.
With bulldozers and dynamite
we worm through soil and rock,
from raw material we bite
a huge amount to stock.
