We can be sure: before we once detected
any symmetrical proportion
nature came first and already perfected
such splendid forms without regret or caution.

Mathematicians are still proud of finding
the rules for symmetry in different forms,
which till today are generally binding
and for the artist represent accepted norms.

Our eyes are pleased when they see distinct beauty,
however, tastes do differ quite a lot.
Our culture makes us think it is a duty
to put each structure in its proper spot.

Aus meinem Buch:

Life represents us with an astonishing variety of beauty. This is why when I see a photo or a picture, it might inspire me to put my thoughts in a rhyme. Picture and rhyme belong together this way. – When the reading becomes too difficult, try a second time, or a third, and you’ll understand what I want to say, I hope.
