Shadow patterns

Contrasting patterns on the ground
strike the eye as a rare treasure:
We see in harmony with round
even square pavement is a pleasure.

And then we notice, quite surprising,
that shadows thrown without a thought
have a life as if advising
to look closer or see naught.

A mirror image drawn by shadows
moves along and changes form,
clear on streets, fuzzy on meadows
when the sun fights with a storm.

Aus meinem Buch:

Life represents us with an astonishing variety of beauty. This is why when I see a photo or a picture, it might inspire me to put my thoughts in a rhyme. Picture and rhyme belong together this way. – When the reading becomes too difficult, try a second time, or a third, and you’ll understand what I want to say, I hope.
