Progress means development
from old to newer things.
We do not know what consequent
and further knowledge brings.
So it’s a risk to follow through
when people dare to trust
that keener ideas somehow grew,
hoping they won’t go bust.
So far state of the art appears
to make our lives secure.
Relying on the engineers
is fine but never sure.
