Nerds

Meeting a nerd is inconspicious,
they never look like this, it’s true.
Mostly tame and rarely vicious
they resemble me and you.

Their eyes focussed in one direction
on the ever-changing screen
they almost sink in stupefaction,
are seldom outside to be seen.

Their knowledge on the other hand
helps us to use the internet.
And problems I don’t understand
are by the experts solved when met.
