Landmarks

A landmark stands out as it’s taller
than all of the landscape around,
even though effectually smaller
it can from far be found.

Any church and tower
was easy to detect,
today these buildings cower
behind tall trees in fact.

For sailors they’re redundant,
for wanderers obsolete.
Today we have abundant
equipment to compete.

Aus meinem Buch:

Inspired by pictures I wrote poems about life in general, nature and man. Some poems are humorous, others serious, because we humans are not always so smart to consider the effects of our lives. Most of the pictures are watercolours by an as yet not much known painter.
