Hardly inviting

Sometimes a chair is all you need
to soothe your tired bones
after a lengthy walk at speed
that your body bemoans.

But even then you would not take
this chair as your relief.
It sure was left in someone’s wake,
or perhaps by a thief.

When you need a chair to sit
it can be made of wood,
but you must trust its worth a bit
or places where it stood.
