Camouflage

The colour of a fur should be
a camouflage to hide
wherever enemies could see
from top or from your side.

So this poor rabbit now presents
a target and a prey
for birds of prey without pretence
to spare it but to slay.

To save the animal from such
certain untimely fate
you should have built a secure hutch
before it is too late.
