You underestimate the speed
with which a snail can run.
Give it a chance its way to lead,
it will surprise, though not in sun.
The underground preferred is wet;
the smoother it appears the better.
Vertical planes don’t stop the snail to let
it climb where bases might be wetter.
In any case unhurried ways
are wise securely to succeed,
as the snail’s enlighted days
lie in patience, not in speed.
