Where patches of fields cover the ground
with hedges in between
a neighbour is more closely found
on whom in need to lean.

Today when you seem linked with friends
all over the global place
a warmer hand that one extends
helps more when face to face.

A gap in time is swiftly patched,
responses quickly sent,
but chemistry ’s not really matched
when only screens are lent.
