When a storm is on the cards
going out is not much fun.
The skipper sorrowful regards
the weather forecasts that are run.
As a result the ports are crammed
and people rather stay on board,
or find themselves somehow condemned
to buy whatever they can hoard.
Similarly the ports are crowded
when there is no wind at all
and the sky is grey and clouded
in rain curtains’ endless fall.
