To be at the helm means to watch where you go,
you are responsible for the whole crew.
When you are not the captain, though,
there is someone accountable, too.
It’s the skipper who gives the commands alone
and takes the burden for all;
and he seriously might have to pick a bone
when someone neglects his call.
When you steer the boat it’s a matter of trust
that you do the best you can give.
You tackle the wind and waves, for you must
take care it’s a pleasure to live.
