Big stones with time to sand are ground,
 lose colour as they crumble.
But after a close look around
 you find colours to stumble.
Some grass or leaves in autumn red
 can liven up the scene,
 and the sandy ground instead
 of grey seems partly green.
And take a handful of the stuff
that is called sand to see
 the many tiny crystals gruff
 or round in colours‘ glee.
