You wash your hands from any sin,
repent a misdemeanor,
collect all errors in a bin
and think you are now cleaner.
A fallacy, though, to believe
that water does the trick.
A subtle trace will never leave
when lies are laid on thick.
Water is certainly no means
to wipe your shoes from dust.
It is the surface that it cleans.
Shoe polish is a must.
