Those were the days
when cars had bumpers
in metallic paint or greys,
and people wore far too wide jumpers
and loved to sit around and laze.
Not everything was fine, however,
compared with our modern car.
Instead of bumpers we have clever
sensor systems near and far.
Now are the days
when we are dumpers
and throw all kinds of things away.
The fashion gods decide which jumpers
simply must not be worn or stay.
