Stronghold

Man knows that elements are strong,
stronger than man, as we do know.
This knowledge never proved us wrong,
water and wind can stir a show.

So we build strongholds, blocks of stone
or concrete walls to keep storms out.
Thanks to big machines alone
elements don’t completely rout.

However, earthquakes, avalanches,
tsunamis, cyclones or a fire
demand all knowledge of all branches
so that we keep what we acquire.

Aus meinem Buch:

My poems are a selection of subjects concerning man and their relation towards nature. Some funny aspects of human behaviour have been inspired by pictures, as all in all pictures go with each of the poems. Human nature at its best.
