Standing together is a demonstration
of a common link which does unite
by a viewpoint or a close relation,
often as opposition, or sometimes from spite.
In a group we feel safe and protected.
We are not alone to face the world.
Groups are firewalls that are erected
when hostile words or an attack is hurled.
In a mass a single person seems diminished.
Only quantity counts and prevails.
A common enemy is marked and finished.
Joint action is the message it entails.
