A dream of mankind was to fly,
pure speculation as to why.
We know they early on did try
to lift themselves from ground up high.
Many failures could not stall
what they felt as profound call.
But jumps from the highest wall
just resulted in a fall.
The height today is not the aim,
but the distance that became
surmountable, and time the same.
