It is no question that a knife
is a weapon or a tool.
Both purposes can save a life,
misusing it, though, stamps a fool.
As a sharp tongue can be a gift
to say precisely what is meant.
It can hurt and cause a rift
commonly when it can’t relent.
In fact, all weapons made to fight
will in the end exactly do
what their intention was in spite
of what is wise and what is true.
