Why should a skyline exist as a view
when the same does not work for the sea?
Mostly highrises are meant, it is true,
but seen from the sea as a key.
The contrast of roofs against a clear sky
makes a line defining the place.
An every captain knows where and why
to dock with a smile on his face.
The line that the sea presents to the sky
is known everywhere as horizon.
Not even masts will help when you try
to identify places – and wisen.
