Oranges in spring

Already ripe and good for juice
oranges lure to crop.
No resistance and no truce:
the tree does not say stop.

Gladly admitting its defeat
it cuts oranges free,
but only would ask you to treat
with respect fruit and tree.

Without the heavy load the tree
can then relax and grow,
And every year it will agree
to start the new spring show.
