One swan does not make a summer

Something is wrong you want to say,
it was a swallow not a swan,
because the swans do always stay
in summer, winter, dust and dawn.

Summers, however, such as this
clearly need a remake here.
Low temperatures I would not miss,
if I had icecream, white wine, beer.

But like the swan I have to swallow
the weather as it comes and goes,
even if it’s my wish to follow
the birds to where it hardly snows.

But I am not like this swan here
alone but with some funny guys
who like to laugh and drink their beer
and grill their steaks just summer-wise.
