Fences

Fences mark a territory
however small a field may be,
if it is yours in all its glory,
a piece of pride for you to see.

Proud of everything you own
and explicitly not share,
you do in no case then condone
people’s neglect because you care.

Things that were hard to possess
and became your great delight
can easily cause much distress
for which you have to fence and fight.

Aus meinem Buch:

Wonderful pictures found connections to my fantasy. All kinds of contemporary themes popped up, so I made partly funny, partly serious rhymes about society, psychology, nature – and climate, of course. The poems are short so that it is no trouble to read them again, advisably one at a time, to more fully enjoy it.
