Construction site

We alter landscapes for we think
the earth belongs to us.
We don’t ask much and make no fuss,
move ground without a blink.

We exploit treasures that we find
deeper below the ground
and change or burn rubbish we found,
think nature doesn’t mind.

But nature is still wild, you know,
it will revenge abrasion,
and in its way pay back invasion
of sanctuaries that still grow.

Aus meinem Buch:

The way how people treat nature and handle their lives presents a full range of cases to think about. So it’s no wonder that photos and pictures inspire me to express such thoughts in concise rhymes. The pandemic standstill seems to provoke even more deeply to enjoy the varieties of a life that is still brimming. This is the reason why this book, like all my others, expresses the current feeling of our contemporary life with its specific problems.
