Coconuts in different states
are sold just where they grow.
Collected in a heap their fates
become, however, slow.
The milk, no longer really fresh
keeps the inside mellow
so that the precious pure white flesh
stays white and never yellow.
In German shops the coconut
is only the hard core.
It looks like wood with fibres, but
its flesh has become more.
