A long neck’s circumstantial use
is to keep your head up high.
This serves you – when not too obtuse –
to let the trivial things go by.
Second advantage of the height
is to breathe the cleaner air.
It improves the all round sight
paying heed to all things there.
On the other hand a nape
that grew such an extension
make a jealous rival gape
or hate the strange invention.
