Originally it was yellow
to adapt to lemons‘ mellow.
Possibly with the green limes
colour changes with the times.
Adaptations are well known,
especially in insects shown.
They have enemies who wait
to devour the fine bait.
A camouflage then plays the trick
to hide them, call it wise and slick.
In real life such an alteration
develops slowly as mutation.
